	<title>Financial support to European consumer organisations</title>
	<description>&lt;p&gt;The European Commission opens a call for proposalsrelated to European consumer protection organizationsunder &amp;ldquo;Programmefor consumer protection (2007, 2013)”.The call is directed towards action 5 and action 6 of the Work Programmefor 2009&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;strong&gt;Action 5:&lt;/strong&gt; activitiesthat support and protect the health, safety and economic interests of consumers in the Community.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Beneficiaries:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Non-governmental non-profit organizations. The main purpose of the organizations should be supporting and protecting the health, safety and economic interests of consumers in the Community. 	<title>Call for proposals, encouraging creativity and innovation in the youth sector</title>
	<description>&lt;p&gt;This call is made within &amp;ldquo;Youth in Action” Programme. In accordance with the decision of the European Parliament and the Council concerning the European Year of creativity and innovation it aims to support projects promoting creativity and innovation in the youth sector. This call also takes into account the proposals in the field of media literacy as set out in the Commission Communication&amp;ldquo;European approach to media literacy in the digital environment”&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Aims:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This call for proposals aims to identify projects directed towards the introduction, implementation and promotion of innovative and qualitative elements in non-formal education for young people and working with them. They may be related to:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; - thecontent of the proposed activities, and / or&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; - methods used to conduct these activities based on new approaches in the field of informal education and youth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; In 2009 the priority of this call will be given to projects, laying down the emphasis on media literacy and working with youth on the Internet.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Eligible candidates:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Proposals must be submitted by non-profit organizations. They may be NGOs and networks, local and regional public organizations. The same applies to organizations and partners. By the date that the proposal is submitted, applicants must have been legally registered for at least 2 years. Projects must involve partners from at least four different countries, of which at least one Member State of the European Union. Individuals can not apply for a grant under this call for proposal.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Criteria:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;- Feasibility of the project in terms of objectives and priorities of the program (40%);&lt;br /&gt; - Quality of design and methods of work which the projectincludes (50%).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Quantitative criteria will represent 10 percent of the available points of the assessment procedure. Will be taken into account and the number of participants (including those with fewer opportunities) and organizers involved in the project (10%).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Budget:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Total co-financing of projects under this call for proposals is estimated at 1 200 000 euros. 	<title>Call for proposals for cooperation with Latin America under “Erasmus Mundus”</title>

	<title>Open call for proposals – European cooperation in the field of scientific and technical research</title>
	<description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Activities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;European cooperation in the field of scientific and technical studies are does not finance the actual scientific researches but supportsactivities for networking, such as meetings, conferences, short-term scientific exchange and information activities. Currently more than 200 scientific networks (activities) are being supported. Particularly welcomed areinterdisciplinary proposals that do not fit in onlyone area and will be subject to separate assessment of the standing body for the assessment of multidisciplinary proposals.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Eligibility:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Proposals should include researchers from at least five countries participating in European cooperation in scientific and technical research.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Assessment:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Proposals will be evaluated in two stages. Online projects should not overlap with the information published on the website of the European Parliament and other online platforms of the Parliament. Furthermore, they must provide a platform for direct citizen participation in debates on important European issues.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Budget and financing:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Total budget is 5 million euro.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;For TV projects the European Parliament grants from 50 000 to 300 000 euro and finances up to 60% of the total costs.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;For radio projects the maximum size of the financing is from 10 000 to 70 000 euro, and if the projects are only at a national level then they must not exceed 50 000 euro. European parliament covers up to 70% of the costs.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Maximum grant for on-line projects is 250 000 euro, and minimum is 5 000 euro. Eligible applicants are specialized enterprises or cooperatives of people with disabilities, providers of social services. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;- &lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Component 2.&lt;/span&gt; Support for the creation of new social enterprises. &lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Requirements for Component 2:&lt;/span&gt; The coordinating organization must be established and registered as a legal entity with non-profit purpose, cooperative, registered under the Cooperative Act, provided the revenue realized in the implementation of the project will be reinvested in the project directly targeted to the target group. Bulgarian municipalities which are providers of social services are also eligible to apply. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Objectives:&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;- To establish and / or developed new models of successful social enterprises; &lt;br /&gt;- To create secure jobs for people from vulnerable groups who are unable to participate in real work processes. &lt;br /&gt;- To establish and develop centres of support for individuals from the target groups for transition to the actual labour market. &lt;br /&gt;- to train providers of social services, employers, non-profit legal entities for job creation in social economy. &lt;br /&gt;- To conduct national campaigns to raise civil society and raising public awareness about the possibilities of social entrepreneurship &lt;br /&gt;- To establish and develop advisory groups, voluntary and community initiatives. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Beneficiaries: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Projects must be prepared by a coordinating organization and partner organizations. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Budget: total budget is 15 680 000 BGN. 	<description>&lt;p&gt;Action &amp;quot;Youth for Europe&amp;quot; of &amp;quot;Youth in Action &amp;quot; Programme is designed to promote mobility and development of active citizen participation and mutual understanding among young people by supporting youth exchanges and joint initiatives.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Eligible activities:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;1. &lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-style:italic;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Youth exchange&lt;/span&gt;-&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; Exchanges provide opportunities for one or more youth groups to visit another country in order to implement joint initiatives. Working groups on topics of mutual interest, such as racism, xenophobia, fighting drugs, heritage, etc. Each exchange must include at least two of the countries in the program, one of which is EU member state. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-style:italic;"&gt;Eligibility&lt;/span&gt; - for exchanges can apply non-profit organizations or associations with a minimum 4 members.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;2. &lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-style:italic;"&gt;Youth initiatives-&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; These are projects in which young people have full freedom of concrete and direct action in its sole discretion. The goal is to expand their initiative, enterprise and creativity. Supported are projects at local, regional and national level. They can be prepared by participants from one or more countries. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-style:italic;"&gt;Eligibility&lt;/span&gt; - young people aged from 18 to 30 years from countries in the Programme. They must start between 1 July 2008 and July 7, 2009 &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Eligible applicants &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The invitation is aimed at independent European companies for audiovisual productions. Applicants must be entered in the records of any of the following countries: &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;- the 27 member-states of the European Union&lt;br /&gt;- The EFTA and EEA (Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein) &lt;br /&gt;- Switzerland and Croatia. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Budget &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The total budget is&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt; 3 million euro.&lt;/span&gt; Financial assistance should not exceed 50 - 60 percent of the eligible costs. The Programme is an instrument of Framework Programme &amp;ldquo;Fundamental Rights and Justice”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Objectives of specific Programme &amp;ldquo;Fundamental Rights and Citizenship”: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• support of activities that aim to protect the fundamental rights and to improve the awareness of the EU citizens &lt;br /&gt;• increasing the opportunities of NGOs and other citizens organizations to take active part in activities for protection of fundamental rights, laws and democracy &lt;br /&gt;• creation of effective structures for encouraging the multicultural dialogue on European level &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Beneficiaries:&lt;/span&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• non-profit organizations &lt;br /&gt;• organization legally established in accordance with the law of one of the member-states of the EU &lt;br /&gt;• organizations which activities cover the activities of Programme &amp;ldquo;Fundamental Rights and Citizenship” &lt;br /&gt;• organizations that work through a formalized cooperation with partner or member organizations in at least half of the EU member-states (14), coordinated either by a joint secretariat or one of the member organizations &lt;br /&gt;• organizations with European purpose in which at least half of the EU member-states take part &lt;br /&gt;• organizations that are active via an existing network of organizations or resource persons that carry out work with a common objective in at least 14 EU member-states &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Eligibility:&lt;/span&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• The grant application must concern an operating grant (i.e., a grant to support activities included in the applicant's 2009 annual work programme), and not a grant to co-finance a specific project &lt;br /&gt;• The grant application must have been submitted by the deadline set for the call &lt;br /&gt;• The applicant must be eligible to participate in operating grant call, i.e., nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) or other entities pursuing an aim of general European interest duly constituted on the basis of the law of one of the EU Member States &lt;br /&gt;• Eligible expenditure must be incurred in the financial year of the applicant starting in 2009 &lt;br /&gt;• Organisations must carry out activities with a European dimension involving at least half (i.e. 14) of the EU Member States &lt;br /&gt;• The aims of their activities must include one or more of the objectives of the Fundamental Rights and Citizenship Programme &lt;br /&gt;• The application must have been presented on the standard request forms, completed in one of the official languages of the EU, signed by the person authorised and accompanied by the annexes required in the call for proposals. 	<description>The Call for proposals "Promotion of Debates on Social Inclusion, in Support of the Reinforcement of the Open Method of Coordination on Social Protection and Social Inclusion" aims at the promotion of debates at national level intended to support the reinforcement of the Open Method of Coordination (OMC). This method is related to modernization of  the social protection and healthcare system.  These debates can take several shapes, such as, for example, meetings/conferences/ workshops/seminars on thematic issues that are particularly relevant for the Social Inclusion agenda (i.e. active inclusion, child poverty, social aspects of migration, etc.), on policies and practices to address them; on methods, instruments and indicators that are used at national or European level; on governance and communication issues, etc.

	<description>The European Commission has launched a Call for proposals for projects to test and develop the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) including national and sectoral qualifications frameworks. The objective of the call is to award grants to develop and test the principles and mechanisms of the future EQF, to exchange experiences at national and sectoral level in using the EQF as a common reference point.

This call is open to organizations in the countries participating in the Lifelong Learning Programme. Applications for funding may only be made by partnerships consisting of organizations drawn from 5 or more countries.
